The role of bile in the metabolism of fat

Bile salts are the most represented in the organic part of the bile and are thus important in the metabolic function of bile:

     *
bile salts are biological detergents that reduce the surface tension of lipids and fatty substances that are held in the form of micelles in a soluble state in aqueous solution (bile)
     *
bile salts in the small intestine emulsifies fats ensuring their intestinal absorption and apsorciju vitamins soluble in fats
     *
in the gut activates intestinal and pancreatic enzymes (lipase) are important for the breakdown of fat.

Bile salts and cholesterol must be in balance in the bile, and any disturbance of their ratios can lead to kalkuloze (of gallstones in the gallbladder).

We have already said that the liver produces cholesterol (endogenous cholesterol), and one of the cholesterol comes in the same gall bladder. Cholesterol is excreted via the liver and bile so that 80 percent oxidized to bile acids. Lecithin stabilizes cholesterol in bile. It should be noted that 30 percent of the good HDL cholesterol and phospholipids form in which the basis of lecithin.
